Bus tours: Never Again. I think we vowed that last time we went on a bus tour in '07, and yet again we found ourselves cramped into bus seats on an overnight bus. We thought it probably wasn't going to be so bad because it doesn't take as long to get from Bremen to Paris as it does to London, but we were wrong. Many of our fellow travellers were sick and kept the bus up coughing, it was impossible to put back the seats and get sleep, and thus, we arrived in Paris dog-tired and stiff-limbed.

We still had a lovely time.

Exhibit A: our bus. Not to be recommended.

For all your rat needs.

Michael doing something curious to someone he bested in a fight on the Fountaine Saint-Michel. Is he cutting his own arm off?

Prettiest café and society for primary education.

Monster meringues bigger than a hand!

Pick me! Pick me!

King of all I survey.

Texting again?

Synchronous cyclists. Because.

The reason why we didn't go in: the queue, and also, since we were only there for two days, we decided not to go into any museums. We'll need to come back and do museums at some point, anyhow, with a folding chair to tackle the queues at the Louvre, the Musée Rodin, Musée d'Orsay and the Catacombs.

Arc du Triomphe du Carrousel.

Because we are tourists there may or may not be a series of pictures in which Crocky imitates the poses of several of the sculptures.

Other people enjoyed the poses, too.

Fremdscham?

Others were not so easily intimidated by the tourists.

View of Champs-Élysées we had while having crépes. Which are cheaper in the tourist circuit of Paris than on the biannual Bremen fair for some reason.

Vertical gardens on the Musée du quai Brenly. I'd like that on the walls of our house, too.

Wheels of the lift.

The Great Palace. <3

I'd have loved to take a tour.

Champs de Mars and Tour Montparnasse.

Generic Seine.

Place du Trocadero.

Thanks, happy to stir pleasant memories! Those meringues taste not as good as they look, I am unhappy to report, but they are still worth the price for novelty's sake alone.
