And yes, I have seen wolves before. I just can't draw them properly, though I did try to stick to some of the canon descriptions of what werewolves are supposed to look like compared to real wolves. Well. I'm quite pleased with the general mood and the grass, though. How come the backgrounds always turn out better and are more fun than my foregrounds?

Anyway, this is Minerva telling off Remus for following Severus out of the Shrieking Shack. James may have saved his life in the Shrieking Shack, but he didn't take him back to the castle.



Ok, off to bed, I'll have to get up really early tomorrow, meh.

Das ist doch schon ganz OK. Ein Tipp: die Airbrushpinsel der meisten Grafikprogramme lassen Bilder schnell ein bisschen billig aussehen, wenn man sie zu exzessiv benutzt. Eine langwierigere, aber IMO besser aussehende Technik ist "blending". Dazu legt man zwei Farbflächen nebeneinander an und malt mit einer der beiden Farben auf der Farbgrenze entlang, wobei man die Pinselspitze auf ca. 30% Deckkraft einstellt. Wenn man dann mit dem Pipettentool immer wieder den nächst helleren oder dunkleren Farbton aufnimmt, der dabei entsteht, kann man Schicht für Schicht einen Verlauf aufbauen, der malerischer aussieht als mit einer Airbrushspitze. Funktioniert sowohl mit Schatten als auch Highlights.

Ich weiß, was du mit billig meinst, aber ich hatte ab einem gewissen Punkt auch keine Lust mehr, noch dran rumzudoktern. Danke für den Tipp, das werde ich morgen gleich mal ausprobieren. Wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe klingt das aber, als ob das potentiell ziemlich lang dauert. Na, mal sehen, hab ja mein audio book von Making Money aus der Bib.

Oh, es lohnt sich aber. Wenn ich bloß etwas in Farbe sehen will, um die Wirkung zu prüfen, beschränke ich mich auf einfache Farbflächen und vielleicht ein paar harte Schatten. Allerdings wünschte ich schon, ich hätte auf der Arbeit auch mal ein wenig Zeit, auf den Cintiqs mit Maltechniken zu experimentieren.

Lange Mittagspause nehmen? Ich weiß nicht, ob ich widerstehen könnte - aber ich arbeite ja auch nicht im Job mit denen. Ich hänge ja auch nicht länger in meiner Nachhilfeschule herum und spiele mit der Tafel, auch wenn ich gern eine zu Haus hätte. :P

Muss noch sehen, ob's sich lohnt, ich hatte heute noch nicht die Gelegenheit. Ich bin jedenfalls gespannt.
