Blackbird is probably my favourite song by The Beatles ever.

What's yours?

Oh, that's actually a tough one... From the Stones, I'd have one favorite and one only, but here it's more like a top 4 or something, which would be:

1) "Let it Be"
2) "Yesterday"
3) "Eight Days A Week"
4) "Strawberry Fields Forever"

Can't decide... ;)

Oh, Let it be! I love that one. I fell in love when I listened to it on the Learner's Cassette 2 or 3 in the Greenlines series which I had.

Oh, difficult. Off of the top of my head, 'Help!' Thinking about it, I'd probably change my opinion.

Help!'s also a great song. It's hard to pick just one favourite, though, that's true.

A Day in the Life
All My Loving
Anything with Ringo singing lead
I Am the Walrus
Penny Lane

Sometimes I put their complete collection including the Christmas messages as what I'd like to have with me on a deserted island as entertainment.

You can tell who's singing lead? Whoa. I was never able to do that, unless it's painfully obvious (I can tell that John Lennon's singing Imagine :P).

Understandably, they're awesome. I'd definitely consider taking them to a deserted island.

Paul has a great singing scream, John's scream is primal, George's voice is sweet and Ringo has a voice that's so fun and pure that it's hard not to smile. It's bouncy. I recommend you listen to Yellow Submarine, A Little Help From My Friends and Octopus's Garden. Bouncy!

Oh. Yes. This is fantastic. I adore A Day in the Life. I'd call it my second favourite, though there are so many brilliant ones. Purely affective reaction, hm... Without going back to check my CDs: "All My Loving", "A Day in the Life", "And I Love Her", "While My Guitar Gently Wheeps", "Elanor Rigby", "Lady Madonna"... there are more, I think. And I like all the famous ones, too, obviously. One just hears them so often that they lose in comparison to the other, special ones. Or so it seems.

From a perspective of musical analytic interest, I'd have to say "Because" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" rank among the top ones.

And I actually have favourites in terms of lyrics with the Beatles. I have that nowhere else. My ever favourite Beatles lyrics have to be "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window", "Maxwell's Silver Hammer", and "Her Majesty".
I don't like most Rock 'n Roll things they've done, I have to say. Much of the wilder stuff isn't really much to my taste.
